I offer group and individual training in Third Way teaching methods and curriculum for:

Parents: I work with your child in your home, discuss your concerns, and give you material to use yourself. I can show you how to prepare your young child for school, help him become a skillful reader, make sure she truly masters math, or work on such problems as language delays, problems with reading, limited attention span. You do not need a lot of time or educational training to make a big difference. (And you will add a whole new dimension to your relationship with your child.)

Groups of Parents: Parent run schools and play groups are I think the new face of education. I love to work with groups of parents who are looking for new ways to integrate love of learning and mastery of key academic skills. I will give you training in both methods and curriculum, and help you think through your program.

Tutors/Tutorial Programs: I offer a course called the art of tutoring. I will show you how to integrate homework assistance with skill building in math, reading, study skills, and instruction in English as a second language.

Adult Educators: I train tutors/teachers of adults and young adults and have specialized in applying Third Way methods and philosophy to developing materials for teaching study skills, ESL, and basic reading and math. These programs are in Spanish and English and especially appropriate for community members who wish to learn to teach or tutor.
